Dyad Strategies Releases 2024 Whitepaper

Pensacola, FL - Today, Dyad Strategies announced the release of their 2024 whitepaper.

PENSACOLA, FL - Earlier today, Dyad Strategies announced the release of their 2024 whitepaper. Entitled “The Rapidly Shifting Social Culture within Historically White Fraternities at Regional Comprehensive Universities, this whitepaper examines five trends demonstrating that the social culture of fraternities at regional comprehensive universities has shifted rapidly in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic.

“For a few years now, we have noticed these changes in our data from regional comprehensive universities,” shared Gentry McCreary, the CEO of Dyad Strategies and lead author of the whitepaper. “Conventional wisdom has historically assumed that social culture at regional comprehensive universities was considerably safter than those cultures at Power 5 institutions. The data we have collected at Dyad Strategies over the last five years suggests that this is no longer true.”

The whitepaper makes use of a mixed-methods, sequential explanatory strategy. The initial findings track longitudinal data, comparing regional comprehensive universities with their Power 5 counterparts. The analysis and synthesis section of the paper incorporates qualitative findings from several campus external reviews which help explain why the data have shifted in such significant ways. The paper concludes with a series of recommendations for campus and headquarters leaders aimed at addressing these cultural challenges.

“The enrollment cliff and the COVID-19 pandemic have had a tremendous impact on the social culture of fraternity chapters on these campuses,” said Joshua Schutts, co-author of the paper. “This paper examines exactly how the culture has changed, theorizes on why those changes have occurred, and provides data-driven recommendations for addressing these trends.”
